Jolly Hat
由Vivian於2023年底設計發表的帽子。

這頂帽子的源起，是因為2023農歷年前，定居海外的好友終於在疫情三年後首次舉家返台，正好當時天氣蠻冷的，所以打算織簡單的帽子來送給她的孩子們做為小禮物。

這是一頂由下往上編織的 2×2 羅紋毛帽，完成品由於有著尖尖的帽頂，戴上它之後總是能讓人看了很愉悅，所以才命名為 Jolly Hat。

而將這頂帽子的織圖寫出來並發表，也是因為北方牧人的推波助欄才有這個機會，希望大家會喜歡這個簡單、戴起來好看又有趣味感的帽子。

線材

M 號：北方牧人 DK 美麗諾 (100% 超細美麗諾 水洗 – 225m / 100g) 1 絞,
顏色 紅包 / 河狸金 / 蘭花賊 或者大約 160m 的 DK 線材

L 號：北方牧人 彩點 (65% 羊毛 30% 尼龍 5% 亞麻 – 400m / 100g) 1 紋,
顏色 紫茄 / 蘭花賊 或者大約 200m 的 Fingering 線材

工具
3mm / 3.5mm / 4mm 輪針 (或五本針)
至少 80cm 的連接線 – 方便使用 magic loop 技巧
或者根據密度來增減適合您的針號

密度
M 號：22 針 x 28 排 = 10 cm，使用 4mm 針號的 2 x 2 羅紋編織法並下水定型後的織片。
L 號：23 針 x 34 排 = 10 cm，使用 3.5mm 針號的 2 x 2 羅紋編織法並下水定型後的織片。

輔助物件
記號圈 5 個、收線針

完成尺寸
M 號：寬 12cm / 高 29cm，適合 50-56cm 頭圍。
L 號：寬 13cm / 高 32cm，適合 56-60cm 頭圍。

This hat pattern appeared when my friend brought her family back to Taiwan for the first time after the Pandemic. At that time, it’s very close to Taiwan’s Lunar New Year and the weather was quite chilly, so I decided to knit simple hats for her kids as gifts.

This is a simple 2×2 ribbed hat constructed to be knit from bottom to top, ending with a cute little cape. It looks so cute and joyful to whoever is wearing it. This is the reason why I named it ‘Jolly Hat’.

Special thanks to April who pushed me to make this pattern happen and wish all of you will like this simple, easy to wear and funny hat.

Yarn

Size M: Shangdrok DK Merino (100% Super-fine Merino Super Wash – 225m / 100g) 1 skein,
color Red / Beaver / The Orchid Thief or approximately 160m of DK weight yarn

Size L: Shangdrok Wool Donegal (65% Wool 30% Nylon 5% Linen – 400m / 100g) 1 skein,
color The Orchid Thief / Aubergine or approximately 200m of Fingering weight yarn

Needle
3mm / 3.5mm / 4mm circular needle with 80cm cable or longer for magic loop technique.
(or Double Pointed Needles)
Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

Gauge
Size M: 22 sts x 28 rows = 10 cm in 2 x 2 rib stitch on 4mm needles after blocking.
Size L: 23 sts x 34 rows = 10 cm in 2 x 2 rib stitch on 3.5mm needles after blocking.

Notions
Stitch marker (5), Sewing needle

Finished measurements
Size M: W 12cm / H 29cm, to fit head circumference 50-56cm.
Size L: W 13cm / H 32cm to fit head circumference 56-60cm.
